Live, rowing right now
Row anywhere.
Pick a river, a lake or a stretch of coast anywhere on Earth. lowrow builds it from OpenStreetMap, and you row it from your living room.
Android is in the works
Your favourite water, wherever it is
The river you grew up on, the lake from your last holiday, the canal outside the office. If it is on the map, you can row it.
Search a place
Type a town or drop a pin. lowrow shows the rivers, lakes and coasts nearby.
Choose your water
Tap where you want to start, then choose length and direction. Lakes and islands become a round course.
Row
The world is built on your device in a few seconds: banks, trees, bridges, towns, hills. Near the end, the next stretch is added, so you can keep going.
Or start on one of the hand-tuned courses
A world that feels like a day out
Low-poly, calm and warm. Made to be looked at for an hour, not to show off for a minute.

Real sun, real weather
The sun stands where it stands at your place right now, and the weather can follow the real forecast. Or pick sunny, evening sun, fog, rain or night yourself.

Towns and landscapes
Church towers, quay walls, vineyards, willows and bridges come straight from the map. The terrain uses real elevation data, so the hills are where they should be.

Life on the water
Tour boats, barges, sailing boats, people on the shore and other rowers. Your wake and the reflections on calm water react to every stroke.
Training, without the noise
- Intervals
- By distance or time, with rests, target split and stroke rate. Use a template or build your own.
- Robo Rower
- A pace boat with a fixed split rows next to you. Change its pace while you row and see the gap in the HUD.
- Clear numbers
- Split, power, stroke rate, heart rate, distance and time, in big type you can read from the seat.
- Apple Health
- Finished sessions can be saved to Apple Health if you want them there.

Row togetherSoon
Meet friends on the same water and row side by side, wherever each of you is sitting. The server only passes positions along; nothing else is stored.

Got a different rower? Test it with us.
We want lowrow to work with as many rowers as possible, and we can not buy them all. If you have a Concept2, WaterRower, RP3 or anything else with Bluetooth, help us test it. Testers get lowrow free for life.

Questions
Can I really row anywhere?
Anywhere OpenStreetMap knows the water: rivers, canals, lakes and coasts. Very small streams and unnamed reservoirs may still be missing; we keep improving that.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app, connect your rower, row.
Which rowers work?
Right now SmartRow and Bluetooth heart rate straps. Concept2 PM5 and FTMS rowers like WaterRower are next. Without a rower you can still look around in the demo mode.
Is there an Android version?
It is in the works. Leave your email in the tester form and we will tell you when it is ready.
What does it cost?
The first version is free while we test it. Testers keep it free for life.
